Real Madrid’s revamped Bernabeu Stadium will potentially include an esports facility, according to an official video of the venue’s proposed renderings. The images indicate that Real could finally enter the world of esports.

The gaming space could also provide an additional revenue stream for Real ahead of the €525m ($617.2m) renovation project, which is due to begin in 2019 and will take three and a half years to complete.

Tottenham Hotspur aim to generate around €3m per event for hosting esports tournaments at the renovated White Hart Lane, it has been reported.

Real’s president Florentino Perez says the new stadium, which will have a retractable roof, will generate an extra €150m a season in revenue.
